I'd still be a human. Top of the Food Chain, don't you know. Plus, any other life form is going to be hampered/harmed/exploited by humans. Thus... I wanna be on the winning team, alright?
I don't have a remarkable phobia. Just an average one. I don't like water. I don't go running scared because of it, mind you. I'm just not comfortable with it.
For the most part, it hasn't had any real impact on me. When I was fifteen, I went out in a small fishing boat out around Alaska. That's not something the phobic would do.
Of course, my fear's grown worse since then. But that's neither here nor there,
I currently live in a city where crossing water is a must to get anywhere important. It gives me a shiver up the spine, it does...
Last year (or so) ago I was introduced to the concept of Dialogueless Garfield (i.e. Garflied strips with Garfield's dialgue removed. Funny stuff, I thought.
Well someone has taken things to the next level. Go to Garfield Minus Garfield and witness Madness made manifest.
Word has it that there's going to be a new Ghostbusters game. Actually, this is more than just a rumor. It has a site up. Featuring the original Ghostbusters (Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, and Ernie Hudson) and cast members from the original series (Annie Potts, Brian Doyle Murray and William Atherton), it's supposed to materialize sometime next year. More info can be found here.
[Y]ou'll be coming back as Captain Jack in the New Year...
I'm not in the Doctor Who Christmas special, but I come back in Series Four, which starts filming after Christmas. Series Two of Torchwood also starts airing on BBC2 in January.
Except that I thought it was filming now... but never mind...
The first strange alien is of course me and this site. Those who want to know just what's going on here may click here.
Comics
Comics 101 recently did an article about Spider-man's marriage. How good is it? let's just say I no longer have to write one...
Strange alien #2 is Mayberry Melonpool, he of the webcomic Melonpool. After a drought of 2 years, we have new comics on the way. Yay!
Wait. What is Melonpool about? Well, originally it was about four aliens struggling to get off of Earth, but with a nine year run a lot has happened since then. Those that don't wanna wade through the archives aren't left in the cold, however. There's a nice recap comic that covers the whole story.
However, I think Melonpool is worth reading all the way through...

Seriously? I'm not seeing anything I want to talk about today. COme back tomorrow, won't you? At least you'll know what I'm listening to while writing. You know you wanna know that. ;-P

Anime and Cartoons
Word has it that someone is making a live action Dragon Ball Z Movie. Word has it that the budget is at least $100 million. Me, I find that hard to believe. How much money do you need to shoot two people glaring at each other for hours on end.
You would have laughed at that had you known anything about the series
Previously on Welltun Cares' Fifth Wheel: David Tenant is heading for the stage next summer. This bodes ill for his Doctor, as summer has been his filming time. Only time will tell..
And now, our latest word: Tenant is staying on at least to series five. There is a small snag: the series just can't be done due to Tenant's commitments. Therefore there will be three "specials" in 2009, with the series 5 proper starting in 2010.
Some have carped over this delay, but at least it isn't twenty freaking years between series...
Me, I'm glad he's staying.
UPDATE TO THE UPDATE: Um... Tenant isn't officail for 2010. FYI. I screwed up

Just to show you all what a cunning reporter-type I am, I utterly missed the further news on King's Story that popped up last week. Probably a good thing I'm not being paid for this. On the game, it's looking good, though I find the graphics (seen here) a tad goofy looking. more as it develops. Assuming I notice it, of course...
Nobody asked my opinion, but they brought Xenosaga over as a DS game. You can check out a review for it over at RPGFan. Between you, me, and the guy standing behind you, I couldn't finish the first game, let alone play the second, so I shouldn't be chomping at the bit to play this. However, the news that they've tightened things up a bit is welcome. Who knows? They might actually make the whole series the way they wanted to this way...
